Thousands Register for IBS in the First Week
Registration and housing opened Monday, August 3rd for the 2010 International Builders’ Show®, and thousands have already taken advantage of our special low price registration offers!  Make sure you are among the first to register and request housing.  The show is being held January 19-22, 2010 in Las Vegas and the EOC meetings and events are tentatively scheduled for January 17-20.  Although January may seem far off, you will benefit immensely by registering early for two reasons.

First, for the first year ever, NAHB members can register for a complimentary 4-day exhibit pass. This pass will allow them access to the exhibit floor for all 4 days of the show for absolutely no charge.*  And the second, and most important, reason to register early is to take advantage of the amazing hotel rates in the NAHB block, which range from $32 to $199 a night!  These extremely discounted hotel rates are available online, but the rates are only guaranteed for the month of August and availability is limited. You must book early to secure these rates. The room deposit will not be charged until December so there is nothing to lose!

As always, members who have not registered for the show as an NAHB member in the past are eligible for the first time attendee rate of $100. This is a full registration, allowing you to attend any of the 175+ education seminars, and includes access to the exhibit floor on all four days.  IBS is also offering one and two day education passes.  New for the 2010 show, these passes include admittance to the exhibit floor all four days of the show, plus unlimited access to one day or two days of education seminars.  Attendees will need to pick which day(s) they are buying the pass for when they register.  ALL FRIDAY SEMINARS ARE COMPLIMENTARY.  To make these offers even better, spouses can come along for free!

Be sure to visit http://www.buildersshow.com/ now to register and save!  We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas!

*Must register by December 11, 2009 to receive complimentary exhibit pass.

New Book Shows How to Save Money Building Green Homes
Build Green and Save: Protecting the Earth and Your Bottom Line,” by builder Matt Belcher, is a comprehensive, easy-to-read reference that provides builders with the information they need to build green — and save money at the same time.

Available at BuilderBooks.com, “Build Green and Save” gives builders an overview of the business of green building and a breakdown of the different green guidelines and standards available, including NAHB’s National Green Building Standard.

In the publication, Belcher shows builders how to:

-- Identify and select green building materials
-- Implement green construction techniques
-- Explain the benefits of green housing to consumers
-- Offer affordable green building solutions to consumers
-- Use resources wisely and reduce water and energy consumption
-- Market environmentally sound practices

In addition, Belcher makes a case for affordable green building based on personal experiences and details.
